Computer
Support Technician 980 hr in a forty-nine (49) week Course, the student
can interpret those knowledge skills,
and customer relations’ skills essential for a successful entry-level
computer service technician (as defined by experts
from companies across the industry). CST integrates a broad range
of hardware and software technologies, but
is not related to any vendor-specific product.
Computer
support technicians (CTC) respond to computer users' inquiries, complaints,
and requests for technical assistance.
CTC technicians decipher computer problems via the telephone or electronic
mail while others go to the user's
location to assist in person. CTC technicians traditionally work for
a particular vendor, assisting customers that have
purchased vendor's products, or they may work for a more diverse company
and provide on-site support to company
employees. CTC’s maintain records of repairs and technical assistance
rendered and conducts follow-up ensuring
customer service satisfaction.
